Lorenzo's Tailor Shop

Our History

 

 

Lorenzo's Opens its doors in Cicero in 1968

Opened by Lorenzo Marrone, a tailor for the Italian Army in World War II, he wanted to start a new life in the United States. He moved to Chicago and opened Lawrence Tailor Shop in Cicero, Illinois. Specializing in custom made men's pants for the company Pucci Menswear. He also supplied tailoring services for the citizens of Chicago until he moved to Naperville with his family. He moved his tailor shop to Naperville in 1974 under the new re-branded name Lorenzo's Tailor Shop. Lorenzo continued to supply his professional tailoring services to the public of Naperville until his retirement in 2004.

Following His Fathers Footsteps,

Vince opens his doors in 1985

Growing up, Vince spent a lot of time in his father's tailor shop performing housekeeping tasks like sweeping, cleaning and organizing. After Vince graduated High School his mother, Antonina, was diagnosed with breast cancer. Vince decided to stay back from going to college to help his parents with the shop. During this time, Vince learned the art of tailoring both men and women's' clothing. In 1985, Vince opened a Lorenzo's Tailor Shop of his own in Lisle, Illinois. He continues to provide his tailoring service to the citizens of Lisle and Naperville in the College Square Mall of Lisle.
